Saturday, I got to meet up with my fun Photography group at Cactus and Tropicals. There we took pictures of flowers and plants. I tried for a different approach. I wanted to capture things others might not notice or photograph as much as the flowers. A few from my perspective...

Eyebrows...
It seems all three of my kids are expressive with their eyebrows. They get it from their daddy! He can wiggle his eyebrows and twirl his eyes! He's got some fancy eye tricks he can do and he's passed it on down. Check them out!

Thanks Suzanne!
This is another reason (I have a million) why I love Suzanne!
We play together all the time. This last time we hung out she captured this image of my little girl. I LOVE THIS ONE, cause it's my little "B" ALL THE TIME! She scowls at me whenever I say "no" or something else she doesn't want to hear. I think it's the cutest little face ever. SO THANKS SUZANNE! YOU ROCK!

Two new favorites!!!
I went out with my friend Andrea the other day to take pictures of our kids. Only one of them wanted to get out of the car, the other two wanted to just kick back and watch shows until we could go back to Andrea's house and play. So I took little Miss B and tried to capture something worth while. If you look closely in this first you can see a tear coming out of her eye. She just wanted to play with the door. She kept saying, "door, door!" I do love this image of her though. I think she's gorgeous, but of course I'm the mom!
Then today we went to my friend Suzanne's after "S" got out of school. I wanted to try some indoor shots of my little ""B" (yes I know, the same outfit two days in a row, but it's cute right?) so I could add them to her baby book (photo book). I captured this image and LOVE it! Little girls love dressing up and playing with beads! It was one way I could get her to sit still at least. I love her little dimple. So slight but cute!

Provo Meet-Up
Last night I met up with some of my Photographer friends at our Provo Meet-Up group. We learned about "Bokeh" and the first two images reflect that.
Before leaving Suzanne and I stumbled upon this amazing typewriter that Pete recently bought. We couldn't stop photographing it! You can see why.... Isn't it neat?
So I captured a little bit of "bokeh" on the typewriter as well. What a fun night!

My porcelain doll!
She is my little doll! I love this kid!
(No! I didn't soften her skin, it's that gorgeous porcelain look all on it's own. I only added a texture and then erased it back on her face.)

Mama's boy!
I ended up letting S sleep in rather than go to school. She has a bit of a cough and didn't get a good nights rest. So instead, I woke J up, threw some clothes on him and met up with my friend Suzanne. She was out taking family pictures for her sister. I started with my superhero...
Then found the little tough guy in him...
Then we went over to play with his buddy A and this is what I got of them. I love them!
He's my super hero, my little tuff kid, but most of all he's this, my sweet faced, gentle hearted little boy!! It was a great day with my boy!

Merry Christmas Michael...
How could I resist! My baby sister M has a huge crush on my friend
Suzanne's boy M. They did a photo shoot together and since then they
are"in love." My M is out of school for the holidays and came over to
hang out. I love it when she comes to play. She takes over and comes
up with the best games for my kids. They are in heaven today. Especially,
since the last three weeks have been pretty boring (trying to feel better).
I couldn't resist a five minute session of my gorgeous sister outside in
the snow. Here are the few I took!

December challenge...
This month the challenge is to focus on the details of the month. I'm always
a bit hesitant to post my version of the challenge because Carin ALWAYS
has something amazing! Nevertheless, I love to participate. It gives me
something to look for and to keep in the back of my mind as I go throughout
the month. This is my version of detail. It's the detail that this month is
centered around, Christ. This hangs in my front room and reminds me often
of who He was. I reflect upon Him as I sit in my big black chair. Well, now
that big black chair has been replaced with our Christmas Tree. Today, as I
was coming down the stairs I noticed the tree lights in the image. It made
me smile. So this is the little detail I wanted to share with you... May you
remember what the true meaning of Christmas is this year!

Snow boots!
So last weekend it was pretty snowy and my kids were anxious to get out in it.
This is the first year I've bought snow boots, so they wanted to see how they held up.
They had a great time for about ten minutes, before they got too cold.
Their boots held up though and they keep asking to go out again... ten minutes at a time.

Red Rocks!
On Friday night, I had the opportunity to go to the Red Rocks Utah Gymnastics
season opener. It's the night they showcase the gymnasts who will be competing this season.
They have face painting, meet the gymnasts and get autographs. They do a semi-meet type
thing where the girls perform on the events for the fans to see. Preston, who has
been a photographer at their meets for years made it possible for me to join him on the floor.
My dear friend Suzanne was first offered the chance, but
because she is such a great friend and knows a little of what gymnastics is to me,
passed it up to allow me to go down instead. I am so grateful for such good friends.
I had a FABULOUS time. These are a couple
images I got that night. To view more, click here.
