I really wanted to know how to make my pictures bigger, 

not just the "large" way through blogspot.  I have a friend who seriously 

knows how to do everything.  I'm lucky enough to call her my friend!  

We are having a blast together lately sharing photo tips and ideas.  

It's FUN!  So I played with it and it works!  Thanks Suzanne!  You're the BEST!

I need to stop...

Ridiculously addictive!

So much to play with.  Maybe I should read how to do these thing and I wouldn't spend so much time playing around trying to figure it out on my own.  There are so many tutorials and things that would help me.  I hate reading.  I don't have the patience for it.  I read to my kids but that's about it.  Following step by step someone's instructions are hard too.  I like to just jump in and try and do it for myself.  A bit of my dad in me.  Just ask anyone who has ever seen him take on a new project, he ALWAYS skips the instructions and goes for it.  He's a fast worker too.  So to learning on my own, playing with things until I master it.  Maybe when I figure it all out I'll go back and read to make sure I'm really doing it right. :)

Funshine and me!

Sky LOVES her Care Bear.  Tonight she had him with her on the front porch as she waited for Dad to get home from work.  She got Funshine for her 2nd birthday and it looks like she's had it for 30 years.  It is truly loved and taken with her EVERYWHERE!

The summer is almost over...

The pool may be closed, but they sell popsicles year-round.  Still holding onto what's left of summer which is going outside to enjoy a popsicle!

Love her in a hat!

Just because, she looked so cute today outside in her hat.  I had to take a couple.  She is a little model and is ALWAYS willing to pose for me.  It's all on her own and she always asks, "Do like on Project Runway?"  She and I watch that together.  It's funny that she liked it.  She likes to show me "her walk" too.  She's a blast of a little girl, drama to sweetness.

On the farm...

I think with every post I can say, "I'm still learning..."  I wanted to take a few pictures (practice) before doing an official 3rd birthday photo shoot.  So Sunday night I ran over to Wheeler Farm with Jett to let him throw rocks in the river.  Here are a couple from Sunday that I think turned out okay.  I have been struggling with my focus, sometimes it's RIGHT on and other times it's just slightly off and I've been frustrated.  After a couple emails back and forth from the fabulous Carin Davis, I learned that a lot of it had to do with my settings and she told me what I could do so that the focus was better, crisper.  So leave it to me to forget all about that in my nervousness to get some good photos of Jett.  So I'll do better on the official shoot.  I can't wait to show you those.  I hope they turn out a little better.

After figuring out how to apply a texture, I found a few "freebie" actions.  Here is the result of one I used.

Baby steps... in more ways than one.

I learned how to do something new today!  I downloaded NicoleVan's free texture and used it on this photo.  I am still so new at this, but I wanted to post my first attempt.  This is a picture of Brooke trying to go down the step without any help.  This is a new accomplishment for her, or should I say, "big step" for her.
