My own little guy!

Life has been a little busy, but thank goodness for my friend Suzanne who realized it's been over a month since my little guy turned 4 and that I hadn't done 4 year old pictures of him.  So, with a follow up phone call to make sure we were going to go do pictures, we were off.  I had to do some major convincing to get him to go, but well... it was worth it.  And like any 4 year old boy, it came with some convincing the whole time we were out.  I figured out the best method for getting him to work with me was to ask him to take let me take three pictures that I wanted and then he could do whatever he wanted for three more.  His choices were the jumping and climbing, and guess what... those are some of my favorites!  It's him being the total boy that he is.  I love it!

Worldwide Photowalking Event

Last Saturday, I had the opportunity to "walk" with some of the greatest photographers in Utah. It was a Worldwide Photowalking day, where over 30,000 photographers worldwide set out together in their own cities to walk (and take pictures of course). It was a hot, miserable day, but fun none the less. I always enjoy the time I'm able to spend with my fellow photographer friends and I ALWAYS learn something new. I didn't take a whole lot of pictures, I was there to watch and learn mostly. Suzannes neice came along with us and I being drawn to take pictures of people more than buildings or nature had her model for a few. As you can see, she's a gorgeous girl and as sweet as the come! I love her!

Engaged!

They are amazingly giddy! They wouldn't stop looking at each other and smiling. It was as if Suzanne and I weren't even there. When I got home and went through the pictures there were very few of them looking at the camera. So cute! A few faves...

Eureka!

Last weekend, I was invited to come along on a "Mini Photowalk" to Eureka, UT. What an incredible (kinda) ghost town. Apparently, this town used to be as big as Park City. It thrived on Gold and when the gold mining ran out, the town died with it. It's got some incredible little, old shops that seem to be the main street of town. It's so sad to see, but it appeared as though they may be trying to bring it back to life. There was so much there, and so many great places to take pictures. It's a gold mine in the fact that there are SO many cool places to shoot. I could have spent the WHOLE day there. I know we'll go back, it's just so cool there. Here are a few faves...

With or without texture... either way she's gorgeous.

My friend!

My darling friend Andrea is so great to me. I was in desperate need of a babysitter the weekend I went up to Idaho to shoot a wedding. She stepped in and offered which I thought was so sweet of her. She said to me, "That's what friends are for." Thank you Andrea, you have no idea how much that meant to me. Nothing better than good friends in life! What would we do without them? Here are a few of her looking super fab! Don't ya think?

Mama's boy!

I ended up letting S sleep in rather than go to school.  She has a bit of a cough and didn't get a good nights rest.  So instead, I woke J up, threw some clothes on him and met up with my friend Suzanne.  She was out taking family pictures for her sister.  I started with my superhero...

Then found the little tough guy in him...

Then we went over to play with his buddy A and this is what I got of them.  I love them!
He's my super hero, my little tuff kid, but most of all he's this, my sweet faced, gentle hearted little boy!!  It was a great day with my boy!

A fun one from yesterday...

Suzanne and I were lucky enough to have Scott Jarvie offer up his time
to help us with our photography skills.  We went downtown with my sister
and Suzanne's boy to do a shoot.  For having never met each other
they did great and made for the BEST models!  What a nubie little couple they
are.  Thanks again Scott, we had a fabulous time!
