Provo Meet-Up

Last night I met up with some of my Photographer friends at our Provo Meet-Up group.  We learned about "Bokeh" and the first two images reflect that.

Before leaving Suzanne and I stumbled upon this amazing typewriter that Pete recently bought.  We couldn't stop photographing it!  You can see why.... Isn't it neat?

So I captured a little bit of "bokeh" on the typewriter as well.  What a fun night!

These are SUPER Awesome Steph! The typerwriter ones especially show a level of technique and sophistication that is so impressive.

For example, the first of them focuses on just a few keys. And not the front nor the back, but ones partway into the scene. The out of focus keys lead your eyes right into them and the patterns create such intrigue. It's amazing.

The second one ... I just love how you framed the important parts of the typewriter with the white paper as the background. Perfect composition.

The next row ... that green and yellow combination is very intriguing. Love the old time feel to the one right next to it.

It's kinda fun how the next image gives you insight into the process of a typewriter ... the paper flowing through the carriage, the details in the various parts. (if I was going to pick apart any image on this page, this is the only one and only because I think a more angled view of the carriage would have added to the image ... on the other hand, straight up and down breaks the rules and lends strength to the concept so I can't complain too much)

And the last one, you're write ... you capture bokeh even in the bright reflections on the keys of the typewriter. Awesome shot.

Love them all. Nice work!
